Community Food Pantries
Within our All Saints Community there are two food pantry locations, one in Stanley and one in Cadott. Donations can be brought to any of our three church locations and will be distributed to the pantries. The Stanley food pantry is sponsoring a Kid’s Weekend Meal Program and is looking for donations: Please call Deb Mai (715)456-7540 for more information. Monetary donations (each dollar donated buys $10 worth of food products through Feed My People Food Bank) as well as donations of non-perishable items are always gratefully accepted and appreciated (please watch expiration dates).
Sojourner House is an evening/night shelter for the homeless. It is located at 618 S. Barstow St. in Eau Claire, WI. It has beds for single adults – 32 men and 8 women. (Will take up to 50 maximum) (Beacon House across the street is for women and children.) The shelter is open to clients from 7:00 pm until 8:00 am. The shelter is available due to the generosity of many businesses, volunteer groups from churches and businesses and funding from Catholic Charities.
Our volunteer groups will be cooking the evening meal at home and taking it to the shelter with them. They will start at the shelter at 6:30 pm until doors are locked for the night at 9:00 pm. Duties we will be doing include: Greeter, In-take interviews, Storage Room Monitor, Laundry Patrol and Kitchen – evening meal. Our Parish will provide volunteer teams the 1st Tuesday of each month.
